12.01.2025European Flights from Iran Resume
After the European Union sanctioned three Iranian airlines in October 2024 and suspended their flights, European services will resume starting January 31 with Iran Airtour’s Tehran-Paris flight. The airline is currently planning flights to destinations in Germany, Spain, and Austria.
According to a report from aeroTELEGRAPH, Iran Airtour plans to resume its European flights using the classic Airbus A300. This airline, founded in 1973 by Iran, is now independent and privately owned.
Hussein Pourfarzaneh, the head of the Civil Aviation Organization, states that Iran Airtour’s flights from Tehran to Paris will begin on January 31, and plans for flights to other European destinations, including Spain, Germany, and Austria, are in progress.
According to Pourfarzaneh, Qeshm Air will also soon start flights to two other European destinations. However, he did not provide further details.
In October of this year, the European Union added three Iranian airlines—Iran Air, Saha, and Mahan—to its sanctions list, resulting in the cancellation of these airlines’ flights to European destinations.
