From January to April 2024, the volume of trade between Iran and Germany reached 513 million euros, which shows a 9% increase compared to the previous year.
According to the Destatis database, in the first four months of 2024, German exports to Iran increased by 15% and reached 430 million euros from 373 million euros. In the same period, Iran’s exports to Germany decreased by 14% and reached 84 million euros from 97 million euros last year. The total volume of exchanges reached 469 million euros to 513 million euros.
In April 2024, the volume of trade between Iran and Germany was 107 million euros, which is a six percent increase compared to the same month last year, when the volume of trade was 101 million euros. Of this amount, 85 million euros was the share of German exports to Iran (+2 percent) and Iran had 22 million euros of exports to Germany (+27 percent).
From January to April 2024, Germany’s largest exports to Iran were Machinery and transport equipment with a value of 189 million euros. Iran’s largest exports to Germany were food and livestock, which increased by 32% and 20%, respectively, compared to the previous year.
