In the first eight months of 2024, Iran and Germany exchanged one billion euros of goods, which has increased by 10% compared to the same period last year.
While the current trade volume between Iran and Europe remains significantly lower than pre-sanction levels, there has been notable improvement compared to last year. Trade relations between Iran and the EU-27 are gradually experiencing more favorable conditions.
The trade relationship between Iran and Germany maintained its upward trajectory from January to July 2024, with the total trade volume reaching €888 million, marking a 9% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
On August 27, 2024, the Annual Ordinary General Assembly of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce was held in the Kooh-Noor Hall of the Parsian Evin Hotel in Tehran. During the meeting, the members approved all the reports presented and elected the auditor, inspector, and the official newspaper for the upcoming term.
The 14th Biennial Congress of the Iranian Ceramic Society was held at the Olympic Hotel in Tehran, with the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and NexGen participating alongside the Iranian Ceramic Congress to establish a connection between the industry and startup players in Iran.
From January to June 2024, Iran and Germany exchanged 748 million goods. Despite the decline in Iranian exports, the volume of trade increased by seven per cent compared to the first half of 2023.
The trade volume between Iran and the EU-27 from January to June 2024 reached 2.36 billion euros, which has increased by one percent compared to the first half of the previous year.
