Trade relations between Iran and the European Union continued to weaken in 2025, with total bilateral trade falling by 18 percent in the first ten months of the year to EUR 3.1 billion.

Bilateral trade between Iran and Germany reached 914 million euros in the first nine months of 2025, showing a 21 percent decrease compared to the same period last year. Germany’s exports recorded a 25 percent decline, while Iran’s exports grew by five percent.
