The German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce honoured and recognised the board members of all periods and their gold members at an event.
On 10 March 2024, the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce hosted a very special event. An event to honour the board members of the chamber in all past periods. In addition to the board members of the past periods, the golden members of the Chamber were also invited to this event as special guests.
This ceremony is a new tradition established in the German-Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry by the decision of the President and the Managing Director and is an attempt to make this ceremony a place to honour and appreciate the efforts of the former President of the Chamber together with the golden members of the Chamber who have been members of the Chamber for more than 30 years.
The event took place at the Espinas Palace Hotel, where around 90 people were in attendance. Shahin Asghari, Managing Director of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, opened the event with a welcoming speech. He was followed by Mohammadreza Tonekaboi, one of the founders of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Butagh Khanbodaghi, former President of the German-Iranian Chamber, Ebrahim Jamili, Member of the Board of the Chamber, Saifali Ghaffari, Member of the former Board, Abolfazl Roghani Golpayegani, Vice President of the Chamber, Paul Wolfgang Rexroth, Member of the former Board of Directors, Atta Tanha, Chief Inspector of the Chamber, Seyed Mohammad Bahreinian, Member of the former Board of Directors, Saeed Mansour Afshar, CEO of Horand, Payam Bagheri, Vice President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, and Seyed Hamed Asgari, Vice President of International Relations of Iran Chamber of Commerce. During the meeting, all former board members of the German-Iranian Chamber were also presented with a trophy of honour in recognition of their selfless service during the nearly five decades of the Chamber’s existence. Following the speeches and the presentation of the mementos, the participants reminisced in a friendly and nostalgic atmosphere, looked at old photos and discussed the importance of improving relations between Iran and Germany.
