President of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce: We Will Not Retreat Even One Step
11.11.2025A Historic 99.5% Approval of the Chamber’s Performance
On November 5, 2025, the Ordinary Annual General Assembly of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce was held in Tehran, where members overwhelmingly approved the Chamber’s performance over the past year.
The meeting, chaired by Shahin Asghari, President of the Chamber, was attended by Abolfazl Roghani Golpayegani, Vice President, Amir Houshang Fazeli, Treasurer, and the Chamber members, in the presence of a representative from the German Embassy in Tehran.
During the session, the President welcomed the members and guests, presented the agenda, and subsequently delivered reports from the management, treasurer, inspector, and auditor. The Chamber’s performance and financial statements were approved with an overwhelming majority; with only one dissenting vote.
Following the approval of the management’s performance, elections were held for the positions of auditor, inspector, and the designated newspaper for official announcements. Based on members’ votes, the results were as follows:
- Main Inspector: Ata Ebrahimi-Tanha
- Deputy Inspector: Ashkan Naghdi
- Auditor: Azmoon Pardaz Audit Institute
- Official Newspaper: Donya-e-Eqtesad
Elections were also held for the Election Steering Committee 2026, following self-introductions by the candidates. The main and alternate members of the committee were elected as follows:
- Armaghan Karimi
- Mehdi Rahmatizadeh
- Mahmoud Karimi
- Bijan Pouladi Souvini
- Saeed Mansour Afshar
- Rasoul Moghaddam (understudy)
Additionally, the Chamber’s Election Regulations were reviewed and unanimously reapproved. It was also decided that the upcoming Board Election will be held earlier than the usual schedule, in coordination with the Election Committee and the current Board.
The session was also attended by Ali Majedi, Senior Advisor to the Chamber on International Affairs, and Leo Holzer, Head of the Political Section of the German Embassy in Tehran. With the conclusion of this General Assembly, members once again reaffirmed the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s active and transparent role in maintaining and strengthening the economic and industrial ties between the two countries.
