19.08.2024German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and NexGen Host Joint Meeting with Iranian Ceramic Association
The German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, along with the NexGen steering committee, hosted the Iranian Ceramics Association and the organizers of the 14th Biennial Congress of Iranian Ceramics. This program featured Shahin Asghari, President of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and Ali Ghassai from ZarinIran Porcelain Industries, as the sponsor and co-organizer of the congress.
The meeting included managers and entrepreneurs from the ceramics, glass, and cement industries. Its primary goal was to acquaint the NexGen steering committee with the business challenges faced by these sectors. This understanding aims to help identify, assess, and mentor promising startups, which will be showcased to investors during the congress. The program offers a platform to address industry issues and attract investment for startups.
Another objective of the meeting was to introduce industry professionals to innovations spearheaded by NexGen, the promoter of innovative activities and startups at the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce. During the meeting, the concept of a reverse pitch was also presented, allowing selected officials to prepare presentations for startups on the day of the Congress.
Shahin Asghari, the President of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, opened the meeting by welcoming members of the Iranian Ceramics Association and representatives from related industries. He stated: “I am pleased that this meeting is taking place in a sector that has received relatively little attention, helping to bridge the gap between major industries and the innovation ecosystem. NexGen Group is a point of pride for the Chamber, and we are honored to work with you. We hope this collaboration will continue and that we can carry forward this program in the coming years.”
Ali Ghassai, representative of ZarinIran Porcelain Industries Company and co-organizer of the Ceramics Congress, remarked: “I am very pleased that this meeting has taken place. The collaboration between two well-established non-governmental organizations creates a valuable synergy, and I am excited to see innovation making its way into the industrial sector.”
Shahin Asghari also expressed gratitude for the efforts of Abbas Ali Ghassai, CEO of ZarinIran Porcelain Industries Company, stating: “The presence and success of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce today are undoubtedly due to Mr. Ghassai’s invaluable contributions.”
The meeting was attended by 21 participants. On September 20, the startups introduced by NexGen will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to investors and companies at the congress.
