The volume of trade between Iran and Germany reached 622 million from January to May 2024, an increase of 8% compared to the previous year.
According to the Federal Statistical Office of Germany, in the first five months of 2024, Germany exported 521 million euros to Iran, which has increased by 13% compared to the same period last year. In this period, Iran has exported 100 million euros to Germany, which has decreased by 14% compared to last year. The total volume of trade from January to May 2024 has grown by 8% and reached 622 million euros from 576 million euros.
In May 2024, the volume of trade between Iran and Germany was 108 million euros, which increased by 1% compared to the same month last year. Of this amount, the share of Germany’s exports was 91 million euros and the share of Iran’s exports was 17 million euros (+5% and -15%, respectively).
The commodity group of Machinery and transport equipment has the largest export from Germany to Iran with 229 million euros, which has increased by 31% compared to the responsive year. The largest commodity group exported from Iran to Germany is food and live animal with 50 million euros, which has increased by 20% compared to last year.
