The volume of trade between Iran and Germany in Q1 2024 reached 406 million euros, showing a 10% increase compared to the same period last year when the trade volume was 369 million euros.
According to the figures of the Federal Statistical Office of Germany, from January to March 2024, Germany exported 344 million euros of goods to Iran, which has increased by 19% compared to last year (290 million euros). However, during this period, Iran exported 61 million euros to Germany, which is a 22% decrease compared to the previous year (79 million euros).
In March 2024, the volume of trade between Iran and Germany was 123 million euros, which shows a one percent decrease compared to the same month of the previous year (124 million euros). Of this amount, 103 million euros were the share of German exports and 20 million euros were the share of Iran’s exports (+12% and -37%, respectively).
According to the SITC standard classification, the largest group of goods exported by Germany to Iran is Machinery and transport equipment with a volume of 150 million euros, and the largest exported goods of Iran are Food and live animals with 32 million euros.
