Although the trend of Iranian exports to Germany is still negative, the 46% increase in German exports to Iran in February 2024 has led to a 15% increase in trade volume between the two countries in the first two months of 2024 compared to the same period last year.
From January to February 2024, the trade volume between Iran and Germany was 282 million euros, which shows a 15% increase compared to the same period last year, where the trade volume was 245 million euros. During this period, Germany exported 241 million euros to Iran, which is a 22% increase compared to last year (197 million euros). However, Iran’s export to Germany in the first two months of 2024 was 41 million euros, which has decreased by 13% compared to last year (47 million euros).
However, in February 2024, the total trade volume between Iran and Germany reached 161 million euros, which has increased by 38% compared to February 2023 (116 million euros). Of this amount, 141 million euros were the share of German exports to Iran (+46 percent) and 20 million euros were the share of Iran’s exports to Germany (-3 percent).
Machinery and transport equipment (+44%) are the most exported goods to Iran from Germany, and food and Live animals (+23%) are also the largest group of goods exported by Iran to Germany.
