24.02.2025Annual Gathering of the Club Junger Unternehmer 2025
The annual gathering of the Club Junger Unternehmer was held at the German-Iranian Chamber of Commerce, bringing together club members and guests. During the event, the club’s steering committee presented a report on the past year’s activities, outlined future plans, and addressed members’ questions and requests.
The event commenced with a welcome speech by Shahin Asghari, President of the German-Iranian Chamber of Commerce and head of the club’s steering committee. He expressed gratitude for the members’ participation in club events and acknowledged the efforts of the commission heads who form the steering committee:
“In many aspects, the Club Junger Unternehmer has had successful activities. In my view, it is one of the most important pillars of the Chamber. I hope that, with the support of the commission heads, the club’s excellent performance from last year will continue this year, with even greater achievements.”
Following this, Kasra Emam Safari, Vice President of the Chamber, provided a report on the club’s activities over the past year and outlined its plans for the upcoming year. He also presented trade statistics between Iran and Germany in recent years:
“Germany is Iran’s most significant trade partner within the European Union. It is the largest European exporter to Iran and also the largest European importer from Iran. Given that oil and gas do not play a role in Iran-Germany trade, the resilience of this relationship under severe sanctions is higher compared to other European countries.”
Later, steering committee members and commission heads—Mohammad Reza Asna-Ashari (Innovation), Mehran Seyed Mahdi (Energy), Mohammad Karimi (Foreign Trade), and Mehdi Rahmatizadeh (Industry)—joined Emam Safari for a panel discussion. They reviewed their commissions’ activities in 2024, responded to members’ questions and requests, and shared their plans for the coming year.
At the end of the program, members had the opportunity to network in a friendly and informal setting, getting to know each other and welcoming new club members. Newly joined members also submitted their requests to participate in the club’s commissions.
