The German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce recently hosted a high-level event attended by the Deputy Foreign Minister and heads of several European joint chambers of commerce.
Held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, the event was jointly organized by the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Iran-Italy Joint Chamber. Taking place at the Chamber’s headquarters, it brought together Saeed Khatibzadeh, Deputy Foreign Minister and Head of the ISIP; Shahin Asghari, President of the German-Iranian Chamber; Ahmad Pourfallah, President of the Iran-Italy Chamber; Hossein Selahvarzi, former President of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture and a prominent figure in Iran’s private sector; Abdolreza Rezaei Hanjani, President of the Iran-Sweden Chamber; Mohammad Taheri, President of the Iran-Spain Chamber; Ali Majedi, former Iranian ambassador to Germany and Japan; and Diako Hosseini, senior international relations expert.
Key topics discussed included Europe’s activation of the snapback mechanism and strategies to prevent it, drafting a roadmap to restore Iran’s lost ties with Europe in coordination with the Ministry of Iran’s Foreign Affairs, and the formation of working groups within the private sector to gain deeper insight into modern Europe.
