On August 27, 2024, the Annual Ordinary General Assembly of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce was held in the Kooh-Noor Hall of the Parsian Evin Hotel in Tehran. During the meeting, the members approved all the reports presented and elected the auditor, inspector, and the official newspaper for the upcoming term.
The 2024 Annual Ordinary General Assembly of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce was opened by Shahin Asghari, the President of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and chair of the meeting. At this meeting, Abolfazl Roghani Golpaygani, Vice President, and Shahab Javanmardi, a member of the Board of Directors of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, were also present.
After welcoming the attendees and reading the agenda, he presented his report. Following this, the reports of the Chamber’s CEO and Treasurer were also delivered. Additionally, Atta Tanha, the principal inspector of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and Abbas Vafadar, the representative of Azmoon Pardaz Auditing Institute, the Chamber’s auditor, presented their reports to the members. All reports were approved by the members present at the assembly.
Afterward, the members conducted the election for the inspector, auditor, and official newspaper for the new term of the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, with the following results:
– Principal Inspector: Atta Ebrahimi Tanha
– Alternate Inspector: Ashkan Naghdi
– Auditor: Azmoon Pardaz Auditing Institute
– Official Newspaper: Donya-e-Eqtesad
The assembly also addressed a matter regarding the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) and its position that the German-Iranian Chamber should refrain from using the logo of the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK). It was decided that the German-Iranian Chamber would design and adopt a new logo for its use.
Another issue raised was members’ complaints regarding the 2023 board election. After discussion, it was resolved that four current board members would be replaced in accordance with the Chamber’s bylaws. The board was tasked with holding an early election for the board of directors, following the Chamber’s bylaws and the election regulations, at an appropriate time.
