Consultation Meeting of the Gold Members of the Iranian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Iranian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting with its Gold Members to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation among members, promote economic collaboration, and address the key challenges facing trade and economic relations between Iran and Germany.

At the beginning of the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of closer engagement among members and the Chamber’s role in supporting the business community. The Chamber also presented its initiatives to create platforms for exchanging experience, sharing knowledge, and generating new ideas among members, with the aim of making better use of their collective expertise to develop practical solutions to current challenges. In this context, preserving the Chamber’s institutional structure and ensuring the continuity of its activities were identified as key priorities.

The discussions also highlighted the Chamber’s role in strengthening its members’ professional network, promoting the exchange of information and experience, fostering joint initiatives, and making better use of the complementary economic strengths of Iran and Germany. Participants further emphasized the importance of leveraging Iran’s young and highly skilled workforce, as well as the country’s abundant raw materials, to expand industrial cooperation with Germany.

Ali Majedi, Senior Advisor for International Affairs at the Chamber and former Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Germany, then addressed Europe’s long-term economic outlook. He noted that Europe’s continued economic development depends largely on addressing two major challenges: access to reliable energy supplies and a young workforce. In his view, closer cooperation with the Middle East—particularly with Iran—could play an important role in meeting these needs.

The Chamber’s Gold Members are companies and individuals that have maintained uninterrupted membership in the Iranian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry for more than 30 years.
