The election of the Executive Board of the Iranian Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Iran) was held on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, under the chairmanship of Samad Hassanzadeh, Chairman of the Iranian Committee and President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. The meeting was attended by 24 members of the Iranian Committee Council, including CEOs of member banks, executives of insurance companies, private-sector representatives, the Export Confederation, presidents and secretaries-general of joint chambers, and other Council members, and was held at the Iran Chamber of Commerce.
In the election, the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, represented by its President, Shahin Asghari, received 16 votes, ranking fourth after the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, represented by its President, Samad Hassanzadeh; the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, represented by its President, Mahmoud Najafi Arab; and Pasargad Bank, represented by Majid Ghasemi. The German-Iranian Chamber was thereby elected to the Executive Board of the Iranian Committee of the ICC.
This election follows the German-Iranian Chamber’s membership in the Council of the Iranian Committee of the ICC. At the Committee’s Annual General Meeting in February 2026, the German-Iranian Chamber was elected with the highest number of votes as one of the new organizational members of the Council of the Iranian Committee of the ICC.
The Iranian Committee of the ICC is part of the global network of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). According to official ICC information, national committees serve as a link between private-sector members in each country and the global network of the International Chamber of Commerce. The Iranian Committee represents this network in Iran.
The German-Iranian Chamber’s presence on the Executive Board of the Iranian Committee of the ICC enables the Chamber to participate more directly in discussions related to international trade, trade regulations and practices, banking and trade finance, as well as other issues related to the activities of the ICC.
