Iran\u2019s trade volume with the European Union reached 2.82 billion euros between January and September 2025, marking a 19 percent decline compared with the previous year.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Iran\u2019s trade volume with the European Union reached 2.82 billion euros between January and September 2025, marking a 19 percent decline compared with the previous year.<\/p>

According to figures published by Eurostat and reported by the German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Iran\u2013EU trade totaled 2.82 billion euros in the first nine months of 2025, a 19 percent decrease year-on-year. EU exports to Iran fell by 22 percent to 2.22 billion euros, while Iran\u2019s exports to the EU declined by six percent to 595 million euros.<\/p>

In September 2025, bilateral trade amounted to 326 million euros, down seven percent compared with September 2024. EU exports to Iran reached 262 million euros, a seven percent decrease, while Iran\u2019s exports to the EU dropped by eight percent to 63 million euros.<\/p>

The major EU export categories to Iran, based on the SITC standard, were chemicals and related products, machinery and transport equipment, miscellaneous manufactured goods, and food and live animals.
In contrast, Iran\u2019s main exports to the EU consisted of food and live animals, manufactured goods classified chiefly by material, chemicals and related products, crude materials (inedible, except fuels), and animal and vegetable oils, fats and waxes.
Among EU member states, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, France and Belgium reported the highest levels of trade with Iran.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
