Die europ\u00e4ische Metallindustrie steckt in der Krise: US-Z\u00f6lle, explodierende Energiepreise, weltweite \u00dcberkapazit\u00e4ten und der Wettbewerb mit billigem chinesischem Stahl setzen ihr zu. Gibt es noch eine Zukunft f\u00fcr Europas Schwerindustrie? Die Europ\u00e4ische Kommission sagt: Ja.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"706\" data-end=\"1177\">Derzeit liegt die weltweite Stahlproduktion deutlich \u00fcber dem Bedarf. Nun droht die neue US-Regierung mit Strafz\u00f6llen von 25 Prozent auf Stahl- und Aluminiumimporte. Das k\u00f6nnte internationale Handelsstr\u00f6me vom US-Markt in Richtung Europa umleiten. Die EU-Kommission versucht mit einem \u201eAktionsplan Stahl\u201c zu retten, was noch zu retten ist. Diese Strategie zur St\u00e4rkung der industriellen Wettbewerbsf\u00e4higkeit und Dekarbonisierung nennt sie den \u201eIndustriellen Gr\u00fcnen Deal\u201c.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1179\" data-end=\"1589\">Ausl\u00e4ndische Anbieter versuchen, den EU-Markt mit Dumpingpreisen zu \u00fcberschwemmen. Um europ\u00e4ische Hersteller vor der Zerst\u00f6rung durch billige und unfaire Importe zu sch\u00fctzen, wird ab 2026 ein neues Instrument eingesetzt: der CO\u2082-Grenzausgleichsmechanismus (CBAM) der EU. Produzenten aus Drittl\u00e4ndern, die umweltsch\u00e4dlichen Zement, Aluminium, Eisen oder Stahl liefern, m\u00fcssen beim Import eine CO\u2082-Abgabe zahlen.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"1591\" data-end=\"2056\">Damit Europas Industrie f\u00fcr eine nachhaltige Zukunft ger\u00fcstet ist, will die EU Investitionen in H\u00f6he von 100 Milliarden Euro mobilisieren. Doch Europas industrielle Basis steht auf dem Spiel. Deutschland will bis 2045 klimaneutral werden \u2013 ein Ziel, das nur erreichbar ist, wenn Stahl nicht mehr mit Kohle, sondern mit Strom oder Wasserstoff erzeugt wird. Die EU-Kommission unterst\u00fctzt diesen Wandel. Auch Thyssenkrupp hat sich dem Ziel \u201egr\u00fcner Stahl\u201c verpflichtet.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"2058\" data-end=\"2078\"><strong data-start=\"2058\" data-end=\"2078\">Quelle:
