 		Due to a decrease in the export of food and live animals\, as well as t
 ransport equipment and machinery and equipment from Europe to Iran\, the 
 volume of trade between Iran and the European Union fell by 17% between J
 anuary and February 2025\, reaching €703 million.\nAccording to Eurosta
 t data\, the total trade volume between Iran and the EU during the first 
 two months of 2025 amounted to approximately €703 million\, representin
 g a 17% decline compared to the same period in the previous year (€847 
 million). European exports to Iran stood at €583 million (-17%)\, while
  Iran's exports to Europe totaled €120 million (-17%). The primary fact
 ors contributing to this decline were a 47% reduction in exports of food 
 and live animals and a 28% decrease in exports of transport equipment and
  machinery and equipment from Europe to Iran.\nIn February 2025 alone\, t
 he trade volume between Iran and the EU reached €348 million\, marking 
 a nearly 26% decrease compared to February 2024. European exports decline
 d from €391 million to €288 million\, while Iranian exports fell by 2
 2% to €59 million.\nThe leading category of goods imported by Iran from
  Europe\, based on the SITC standard classification\, was chemicals and r
 elated products\, n.e.s.\, valued at €186 million (+5%). The main categ
 ory of goods exported by Iran to Europe was food and live animals\, value
 d at €59 million (-1%). Germany remains Iran’s largest trading partne
 r within the European Union\, accounting for over 30% of Iran-EU trade.\n
