DESCRIPTION:Iran-Germany Trade for the First Five Months of 2025				\n		Fr
 om January to May 2025\, the total trade volume between Iran and Germany 
 amounted to €528 million\, representing a 16 percent decrease compared 
 to the same period in the previous year.According to data from the German
  Federal Statistical Office and as reported by the German-Iranian Chamber
  of Industry and Commerce\, bilateral trade fell from €627 million in t
 he first five months of 2024 to €528 million in the corresponding perio
 d of 2025. Of this amount\, German exports to Iran accounted for €429 m
 illion\, a decline of 18 percent. Iranian exports to Germany stood at €
 99 million\, marking a decrease of 2 percent. In May 2025\, however\, Ira
 n’s exports to Germany increased compared to the same month of the prev
 ious year. Total trade between the two countries in May reached €98 mil
 lion\, indicating a 13 percent decline compared to May 2024. German expor
 ts to Iran totaled €80 million (down 16 percent)\, while Iranian export
 s to Germany amounted to approximately €18 million\, an increase of 6 p
 ercent.  The composition of German exports to Iran is also changing. Whil
 e in the same period last year the dominant export commodity group was SI
 TC Section 7: Machinery and transport equipment\, with a volume of €222
  million\, this category has now decreased by 32 percent. Currently\, the
  largest commodity group of German exports to Iran is SITC Section 5: Che
 micals and related products\, amounting to €160 million. Iran’s main 
 export to Germany remains SITC Section 0: Food and live animals\, with a 
 total value of €53 million\, showing a 6 percent year-on-year increase.
