SUMMARY:Iran–Germany Trade from January to September 2025\; 21 Percent D
 ecline in Bilateral Exchange
DESCRIPTION:Iran–Germany Trade from January to September 2025\; 21 Perce
nt Decline in Bilateral Exchange \n Bilateral trade between Iran and
Germany reached 914 million euros in the first nine months of 2025\, show
ing a 21 percent decrease compared to the same period last year. Germany
 ’s exports recorded a 25 percent decline\, while Iran’s exports grew
by five percent.According to data published by the German Federal Statist
ical Office (Destatis) and reported by the German-Iranian Chamber of Indu
stry and Commerce\, the trade volume between Iran and Germany from Januar
y to September 2025 amounted to 914 million euros. This figure stood at 1
.153 billion euros in the same period of the previous year\, indicating a
significant drop in trade activity. Germany’s exports to Iran fell by
25 percent to 735 million euros\, while Iran’s exports to Germany incre
ased by 5 percent to 179 million euros. The September 2025 monthly trend
also shows a 12 percent decrease in bilateral trade. In terms of commodity
composition and based on the SITC classification\, Germany’s exports t
o Iran continue to be dominated by industrial machinery\, vehicles\, chem
icals\, and manufactured goods classified by material. At the same time\,
“food and live animals” and “chemicals” were among the most impo
rtant categories in Iran’s exports to Germany in 2025.In the September
breakdown\, Germany’s exports to Iran declined across most product grou
ps\, with “vehicles and industrial machinery” experiencing the larges
t drop at 33 percent. Conversely\, Iran’s exports to Germany in certain
categories\, including “beverages and tobacco” and “miscellaneous
manufactured goods\,” recorded notable growth. These figures show that
although the overall trade flow between the two countries followed a down
ward trend in 2025\, some segments of Iran’s exports have managed to ma
intain or even strengthen their position in the German market. \n \n
