DESCRIPTION:Iran EU Trade Report 2025				\n		Trade between Iran and the EU
 -27 totaled €3.7 billion in 2025\, reflecting a noticeable slowdown com
 pared to the previous year. Overall trade declined by 18 percent from €
 4.5 billion in 2024.According to Eurostat\, the trade volume between Iran
  and the European Union amounted to €3.7 billion in 2025\, down from 
 €4.5 billion in 2024\, representing an 18 percent decrease. European ex
 ports to Iran fell by 20 percent year on year to €2.96 billion\, while 
 Iranian exports to the EU declined by 10 percent to €750 million.Increa
 se in Food Exports from Iran to EuropeBased on the SITC classification\, 
 the largest export Commodity group from the European Union to Iran was Ch
 emicals and Related Products\, amounting to €1.075 billion\, a 5 percen
 t decrease compared to the previous year. The second-largest category was
  Machinery and Transport Equipment\, totaling €806 million\, which expe
 rienced a significant 37 percent decline year on year. In the previous ye
 ar\, this category had been the EU’s largest export group to Iran\, wit
 h a volume of €1.3 billion.On the Iranian side\, the largest export Com
 modity group to the European Union\, as in the previous year\, was Food a
 nd Live Animals\, reaching €330 million\, reflecting a 9 percent increa
 se compared to 2024. Manufactured Goods and Chemicals and Related Product
 s followed\, with export values of €162 million and €126 million\, re
 presenting declines of 10 percent and 33 percent respectively.32 Percent 
 of Iran–EU Trade Conducted with GermanyGermany remained Iran’s larges
 t European trading partner\, as in previous years\, with total bilateral 
 trade amounting to €1.18 billion. Italy ranked second with €578 milli
 on\, followed closely by Netherlands with €576 million\, and France wit
 h €245 million.In terms of exports to Iran in 2025\, Germany led with 
 €936 million\, followed by the Netherlands (€517 million) and Italy (
 €447 million). The leading destinations for Iranian exports within the 
 EU were Germany (€218 million)\, Italy (€132 million)\, and Spain (
 €95 million).Trade Statistics for December 2025Total trade between Iran
  and the European Union in December 2025 amounted to €338 million\, ref
 lecting a 14 percent decline compared to the same month of the previous y
 ear. Of this total\, €288 million accounted for European exports to Ira
 n\, down 13 percent year on year\, while Iranian exports to the EU stood
