 ng a 20 percent decrease compared with the previous year.According to the
  data from the Federal Statistical Office of Germany\, bilateral trade be
 tween Iran and Germany amounted to 1.198 billion euros in 2025. This figu
 re represents an unprecedented low since economic data between the two co
 untries began to be recorded in 1988. Of this total\, 963 million euros w
 ere Germany’s exports to Iran\, reflecting a 25 percent decline\, while
  Iran’s exports to Germany amounted to 234 million euros\, showing an i
 ncrease of four percent.Exchanged commodity groupsGermany’s exports to 
 Iran:According to the SITC commodity classification\, the group Chemicals
  and related products accounted for the largest share of Germany’s expo
 rts to Iran in 2025\, with a value of 373 million euros\, down 15 percent
  year on year. The group Machinery and transport equipment\, which ranked
  first in the previous year\, fell to second place following a 33 percent
  decline\, reaching 350 million euros.Iran’s exports to Germany:As in t
 he previous year\, the group Food and live animals constituted the larges
 t share of Iran’s exports to Germany\, valued at 122 million euros\, an
  increase of 14 percent. This was followed by Crude materials\, inedible\
 , except fuels\, with exports amounting to nearly 50 million euros\, down
  17 percent.Trade in December 2025The volume of trade between Iran and Ge
 rmany in December 2025 reached 106 million euros\, representing a 21 perc
 ent decline compared with 134 million euros in the same month of the prev
 ious year. During this period\, Germany’s exports amounted to 88 millio
 n euros\, down 24 percent from 116 million euros in December of the previ
 ous year. Iran’s exports stood at 17 million euros\, showing no change
