DESCRIPTION:Eight Months\, Three Billion Euros: Trade Volume Between Iran 
 and Europe		\n		In the first eight months of 2024\, trade volume between 
 Iran and the European Union reached 3.1 billion euros\, marking a 2% incr
 ease compared to the same period last year.\nAccording to Eurostat data\,
  from January to August 2024\, trade volume between Iran and the EU-27 re
 ached 3.1 billion euros\, a 2% increase over the previous year. Of this t
 otal\, European exports to Iran accounted for 2.54 billion euros\, up 2%\
 , while Iran’s exports to Europe totaled 561 million euros\, reflecting
  a 5% increase.\nThe largest category of goods imported by Iran from Euro
 pe in the first eight months of 2024 was machinery and transport equipmen
 t\, valued at 903 million euros\, a 5% increase over the previous year. M
 eanwhile\, the largest category of Iranian exports to Europe was food and
  live animals\, totaling 201 million euros—a 26% rise. Among Iranian ex
 ports to Europe\, the two fastest-growing categories were beverages and t
 obacco\, which grew by 224%\, and animal and vegetable oils\, fats\, and 
 waxes\, which increased by 244%.\nGermany is Iran's top trading partner i
 n Europe\, accounting for approximately 30% of Iran’s total trade with 
 EU member states. Italy\, the Netherlands\, and Belgium follow in the sub
